Hi Guys, it’s Yemmi!

So about a month ago I had the oppounity to volunteer as a face model for a Bobbi Brown training class.

The class was designed to train Korean makeup artists to work on skin textures and shades uncommon in Korea, hence making their skills international, increasing there ability to work abroad or at local events like Fashion Weeks. A couple of my friends also took part and I had a lot of fun volunteering.

I took part in two parts of the class. The first part was a discussion about bobbi brown products and a shade/undertone matching lecture, in which I and another girl were used as models. The artist were taught why it was important to get the right shades in every makeup your putting on not only, foundation, concealer but also blushers, eyeshadows and lipsticks etc. The person giving the lecture spoke in English which was then translated into Korean for the makeup artists which was great because it meant I got a lot out of the class as well! I have never had anyone match my shade so perfectly in everything, I took a lot of mental notes whilst I was siting there.

The second part included everyone else and the makeup artist split into two and had the chance to create a makeup look on a model between them. Once they were done, the looks were checked for correct shade matching and application of makeup etc, some photos were taken and then the artists swapped to a different model. It was also great fun for the model as wee got a free makeover, including me having my brows shaped for the first time ever (I was terrified).

I liked all the looks I was given and especially appreciated that most of the artists asked for my opinion before putting the products on my face. The Bobbi brown staff were very friendly and accommodating, regardless of their level of English and it was really enjoyable to help them out. I had the opportunity to take part twice, I wish I could have done more, but my schedule didn’t allow it. Because we volunteered ourselves, we didn’t get paid, however we were given Bobbi Brown products as a gratitude gift.  I will talk about these products in my next post but for now here are a couple of photos of our looks on the different days, I apologise that they all selfies, on the day I was having too much fun to think about taking professional photos ha

Thanks for reading~!!
